Karolina Rimskyte is a Piano Pedagogy student at Texas Christian University, in Fort Worth, Texas. She is currently studying with Professor Harold Martina and Dr. Ann Gipson. Before this, Karolina studied music education at TCU and musicology at the Lithuanian Music and Theatre Academy. While at TCU, Karolina performed with the Horned Frog marching band, jazz ensemble II, and symphonic band, and accompanied many soloists and chamber ensembles. She also serves as a choir member, piano player, and a leading singer in local churches.
Karolina is proudly involved with the Music Teacher National Association at TCU and serves the role of secretary in the 2023-2024 year. Karolina is proud to have co-instructed the first Lithuanian special needs drumline in 2019. She is the first Lithuanian woman to participate in DCI (Drum Corps International) in Colts 2019 and WGI (Winter Guard International) in Broken City 2020. Since then, Karolina has been closely related to the TCU Percussion Studio and was featured in their latest performance at the PASIC showcase in 2023.
In her free time, Karolina enjoys learning about piano tuning, creating electronic music, listening to audiobooks, going on small hikes, and Latin dancing.
