Melinda Engstrom

Melinda Engstrom, a native of Fort Worth, began taking piano lessons when she was 6. In high school, she took lessons from Lucy Yacante where she received high marks on the state theory tests and performed in many local and state competitions. Melinda graduated summa cum laude from TCU with a Bachelor’s of Music in Piano Pedagogy. During her time there, she studied privately with Dr. Tamàs Ungar and Dr. Ann Gipson. She also had lessons with Veda Kaplinsky and José Feghali. While a student, Melinda volunteered with PianoTexas, and she regularly enjoyed concerts at Bass Hall. 

Melinda has experience teaching group and private lessons. She enjoys meeting each student where they are and growing together. Her hope is that each student feels valued and leaves with a greater love for music.
