Born in Moscow, Russia, Svetlana is a pianist and piano teacher. At the age of 5 she started playing piano, and then entered the Muradeli Music School. She was studying both piano and violin, and graduated with honors.
At the age of 16 she entered Gnessin Music College to study piano with the head of the piano faculty professor Venera Salakhidinova. She graduated 4 years later with honors and received the highest marks on her graduation exam. At the age of 20 she entered Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory to study Specialist in Piano Performance (Master’s degree) with professor Sergei Terekhov. She graduated 5 years later with honors and received the highest marks on her graduation exam.
Svetlana is continuing her studies at TCU School of Music now. She received a full scholarship and studying her 3rd year of Artist Diploma Piano Performance program with Dr. Tamas Ungár.
Svetlana is a laureate of International Competitions. She participated in Piano Texas Festival in 2021 in the Young Artist’s program. She was invited to play with Voronezh Philharmonic Orchestra in 2021. She was invited to play with Havana National Philharmonic Orchestra in 2022. She received a Judith Solomon Award in Vocal Accompaniment in 2022.
Svetlana has been teaching for more than 10 years, and has experience with many students of all ages. In previous years, she was teaching at the Master of Music studios and Northstar Music studios. Now she is working as a piano teacher at Parker Piano Studios as well as accompanying the choir at Christ the Redeemer Church.
